Been listening to this French children's record lately. It's meant to teach kids about skilled trades from days of yore. Totally beautiful sparkly little folk tunes for medieval career planning. There's another one in this series that's all about animals. The music feels very Wes Anderson to me, or at least reminds me of some of the music in Moonrise Kingdom. Check it out.
so lovely of ya to drop the entire record. the childrens voices on these olden artifacts are generally so charming. quite a heady croak they conjure from that wooden fish too. happy sunday
I would love to know where you find this stuff. The only vinyl of note of which I seem capable of sourcing seems to be 70s prog. Not bad by any means, but nothing I couldn't already get on CD. I've never found anything as unique and mystifying as this.
It's a hit!
