Laanetaguse Suvi
This Estonian nature film is so soothing. Two brothers find wolf puppies and a crane and raise them. There's a melancholic Kes vibe here that I really like... reminds me of the weird European nature films that my relatives in Japan were always watching on TV whenever we visited them when I was a boy. Watch.

As soon as I saw the first image, I immediately thought of Kes. Perhaps because I just watched it last night? I would love to see this film with English subtitles!
ReplyDeleteYes I would love to see this with subtitles too! I watched it and had no idea what they were saying but for some reason this didn't really matter. Besides the music is realy cool. Looking around for a copy with subs but can't seem to find one...
ReplyDeleteThat frog/bird sounds / men's choir combination around 44' is great!
ReplyDeleteI clicked on some of the words written in capital letters on that ETV website. This coming of age musical seems interesting: http://etv.err.ee/arhiiv.php?kullafond_id=32
ReplyDeleteNice!
