The Halprin Workshops

This show looks awesome. What a beautiful porch!

"In the late 1960s, American landscape architect Lawrence Halprin and avant-garde dance pioneer Anna Halprin organized a series of experimental, cross-disciplinary workshops in San Francisco and along the coast of northern California that brought dancers, architects, environmental designers, artists, and others together in a process designed to facilitate collaboration and group creativity through new approaches to environmental awareness."

  2. Looks great but the last bit of that description grates with me:

"... a process designed to facilitate collaboration and group creativity through new approaches to environmental awareness"

Would that have been the original artists' way of wording it? It sounds like standard 21st Century office jargon / art b*ll*cks to me! Something depressing about having that kind of new-speke retro-fitted to an earlier event. Great pictures though!

  3. Ha ha, yeah it's a pretty long sentence too. Still, seems like a great show.
