  1. Spooky! - A friend just told me of this blog, and blimey, the top article is of photographs by an old friend of my family - Al Hurwitz, a great educationalist. In 1972 my father was asked to go to Boston and help with the teaching on a wonderful arts summer school. I had the delight of accompanying him and taking part as a shy 12 year old. I am now an arts workshop teacher and still use some of the techniques and concepts my father and Al's generation of teachers inspired in mine.

  5. Ah, thanks for that link. I think I have seen Franz Walther photos around but didn't know his name.

The use of string also reminds me of Vera Frenkel
